Ann Wilson Phalen

Ann Wilson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Kentucky. She attended Marshall University where she completed her Masters of Arts in Speech Language Pathology.  She holds her national certification from American Speech Language Hearing Association as well as a license to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Kentucky
During her professional career She has had the opportunity to work with children (infancy through five years of age) with a variety of disorders including but not limited to: developmental delays, down syndrome, hearing impairments, cochlear implants, autism, apraxia, articulation and phonological disorders.  She has worked in schools, daycares and children’s homes.
Ann Wilson has a special interest in early intervention where she learned the importance of teaching in the child’s natural environment and building relationships with parents, siblings and caregivers. She believes in a family
centered approach to therapy where  therapy can fun and embedded into every day routines.
She has intermediate signing skills ( SEE) and has completed training in evaluation and treatment for children with dyslexia. She lives in her hometown of Shelbyville, Kentucky with her husband and three children. She enjoys working in her community where she grew up.
